I sit and think of
How could this be
How could you take your love away
Quite so easily?
I thought you were a gift
Sent from up above
Little did I know
That you'd resent my love.
I've done so much for you
Yet all you ever see
Is all of the little mistakes
Why don't you just let it be?
If you wanted to prove your love
You would've been true.
Take all the broken pieces
And start our life anew.
If your not happy I will let you be
Just like a bird
I've got to set you free
If our love is true
Then you will return
If not, this is what I have learned
To leave my love for only my kids and me
Run away, see if you dare.
Go ahead and have your fun
But always beware.
God gave you a chance to have a family.
