This was a very special day because my grandmother turned 85. In reading All in the Family you know how important she and my aunts are to me and that raised me when my parents wouldn't. There is that mother/daughter bond that is Unbreakable.
Of course like every Hispanic family function there always has to be some drama. For the privacy of my family I will keep that one to myself... For now! Just kidding!
One thing that I will say is that no matter how crazy my family is; no matter how many of them have judged me instead of helping me. No matter what arguments we've had or names that have been called; they are MY family.
For each time each one of those times have happened we have been there for each other, held each other while the other cried, and picked each other up when another has fallen.
I guess you could call us all Bipolar! Lol. The point is no matter what was going through our lives we all stopped for one day to show the love and admiration for the woman who made us come to be. And that's what really important isn't it???
If insanity runs in people's family; then in mine it practically gallops.
If we were to have one family function where someone wasn't mad, I'd be kinda scared.
