30 going on 13... Part Two

I checked into Judson Middle School at 8:00 am with my son and had to get my schedule for the day... I'm already feeling sick.
Homeroom: Advisory, Ahh easiest class of the day. You start off your day with a super easy writing assignment, the pledge of allegiance, and announcements. Easy enough you say? Wrong. Several students didn't bother with the assignment, no one even bothered to place their hands over their hearts during the pledge, and as for the announcements; I couldn't hear not even one of them.  You remember being 13? We had such interesting lives it couldn't wait until after class.
Advisory was only 20 minutes long and I was already aggravated that the teacher made not one attempt to make the students show respect for the others who did want to listen and work and for not even showing respect for the United States of America! But if you think that was bad nothing could prepare you for what's yet to come in first period Science.
