The Day That We Met… (A Poem by GenevieveC.)

As in my introduction I told you that I have 5 children.  I know that sounds as if I have totally lost my mind (Well I did)but also it's so rewarding even with the tantrums, the diapers, and my favorite the throw up all over me.  I wrote a poem in '08 about how I feel about each and every one of them.

The day that we met...

I knew that I loved you,

Before you were born.

To be away from you,

My heart gets so torn.

Your soul grew inside of me,

My heart full of love.

God sent me one of his angels,

Sent straight from above.

I knew what you'd look like,

I saw you in my dreams.

I'll love you for always,

Happy or sad, whatever may be.

I remember when you kicked me from the inside out,

Now I look at you and adore you,

Even when you pout.

Your everything I hoped for,

That and even more.

Your my true soulmate, my angel,

Didn't know what love meant before

This is my declaration,

All my love for you.

You can always count on me,

I can never see you blue.

Mommy loves you darling,

You've made me who I've become.

No one will ever be above you,

You will always be my number one.
